Conference interpreter | SP<>DE; SP<>EN
I have been practicing my profession as a conference interpreter with Spanish (mother tongue), German and English for almost 20 years now, and would continue to do so even if I won the lottery. There are many personal highlights in my career: interpreting during TV broadcasts of football matches, or the opportunity to interpret for football idols such as Pep Guardiola or players from the FC Barcelona. There is a wide variety of topics: from a conference on osteoporosis in poultry to the construction of a steel mill, or a literary lecture on the influence of the Frankfurt School (Horkheimer and Adorno) on Argentine literature. But the biggest reward in this job is the feeling that my work brings people from different cultures together, that they feel understood.
